Personal Maths & Science tutors in Pretoria
Every learner is matched with a tutor who fits their subject, grade, language, and way of learning, not pushed through the same programme as everyone else. Grades 6–11, CAPS and IEB, in Afrikaans or English.
Personal tutoring. Real understanding. Stronger results.
Tutoring that starts with genuine care
Engineering Excellence was founded by two engineering students who kept hearing the same story from parents: big tutoring companies treated their children impersonally. We do it differently.
A tutor picked for your child
We match on subject, grade, curriculum, preferred language, location, availability, learning needs, and personality. Not the next name on a list.
Feedback you can see
Lessons are adapted to your child, progress is tracked, and you get feedback after lessons, plus support with tests, exams, homework, and assignments.
Screened, qualified tutors
Mostly University of Pretoria engineering students, graduates, and subject specialists, screened on academic records and holding valid police clearance certificates.
Three steps to the right tutor
Message us
One tap opens WhatsApp. Tell us the grade, subject, and language. No forms, no call centres.
Tutor matched
We match a suitable tutor to your child's needs and availability, and confirm the details with you.
Start learning
Lessons start at home, nearby, or online. Weekly for consistency, or once-off before a big test.
Specialists in Maths and Science
Taught in Afrikaans or English, for both CAPS and IEB. Whether you call it tutoring, extra lessons or extra maths classes, the goal is the same: your child understanding the work. Other high-school subjects can be arranged on request.
Get started for R350
A once-off registration and administration fee per learner per academic year covers your child's tutor match. Lessons are invoiced monthly, only for lessons completed.
More than marks
We aim to improve understanding, confidence, study habits, and independent problem-solving. The marks follow. One learner improved by 25 percentage points within two weeks of focused support. That is an individual example: results differ between learners and depend on attendance, effort, lesson frequency, existing knowledge, and participation.
